About Us
SITUATED at the heart of the bustling market town
of Chippenham, in the beautiful county of Wiltshire, The Gladstone
Arms offers a warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
Opened in 2004 by landlord Leighton Davis, we cater for families
and people of all ages, whether it be for a quiet drink or an
enjoyable night out.
We boast a charming 60-seat, candlelit restaurant, along with
a separate, attractively furnished, bar area.
The large secluded beer garden, which is well lit and heated in
the evenings, offers one of the few tranquil places in the town
where people can enjoy a drink or meal outside and the idyllic
surroundings provide the ideal place to wile away the long, hot
summer afternoons.
Head chef Ben Rawlings, who joined in January 2005,
prepares the delicious and imaginative homemade food and is ably
assisted by Robert Smith and the rest of the kitchen team.
The extensive evening and lunchtime menus are altered every three
to four months and the chefs also cook an award-winning Sunday lunch and, throughout
the summer months, run a barbecue in the garden.
A special Christmas menu is produced in the winter months, allowing
our customers to enjoy a festive night out with us.
We offer a selection of fine real ales, along with imported draught
and bottled lagers, bottled cider and a wide range of wine, spirits,
liquours and coffees.
Paintings from some of the town's finest artists are also on display,
and available to purchase, throughout the pub, giving The Gladstone
a vibrant sense of character.
With the stunning space outside, friendly staff and our focus
on fabulous food at a reasonable price, The Gladstone Arms is
also the ideal place for weddings and private functions.
Leighton and the rest of the team look forward to welcoming you
on your visit.
